The Computer Laboratory is SoA’s central resource for digital design and research. SoA and UMIT is committed to providing students with the best possible environment for computer-based, collaborative teaching and research.
Remote Lab access is available for SoA students.
UPlot - Large Format Printing
UPlot is a self-service large-format printing solution at an economical printing cost. Cane Express funds are the only acceptable form of payment. SoA's main computer lab in Building 49 and the Murphy Design Studio building are both equipped with two Canon ColorWave plotters.
UPlot and UPrint services are separate printing idenitities. SoA students are allocated 50 UPlot credits per academic year as part of their enrollment.
- UPlot credits are non-refundable, nor can they be combined with UPrint credits or vice versa.
- UPrint credits do not apply to large format-printing.
Available media types include:
- Bond 20 lb
- Heavy Bond 32 lb
- Photo Satin 7 mil

- Mylar Contrast 4 mil

UPrint Printing
There are standard black and white and color multiple-function copiers available at Building 49 Main Computer Lab, Building 48 SoA Library, and Murphy Design Studio Building. Printers are part of the UPrint fleet around University campuses.

Scanners
The SoA Computer Lab houses with the following scanners:
- OCE TC4 scanner capable of 36” sheet feed
- Epson Expression 10000xl 11” x 17” flatbed scanner
Rendering
Please see a lab assistant to reserve a computer for rendering. Availability for rendering is limited to Bay 2 and 3. Rendering is not permitted at Murphy Design Studio nor in Bay 1 of the main computer lab. If no computer is available, student will need to return at a later time.

School of Architecture lab workstations offer a variety of software via Windows platform:

Computer Support
UMIT at SoA provides limited support for a variety of configuration and application issues to students, faculty, and staff at the School of Architecture. Services provided include:

- University Wireless Configuration
- Microsoft Office Installation
- AutoCAD Installation
- UPrint and UPlot Printer Installation
