Dear Incoming Student,
Welcome! Congratulations on your admission to the School of Architecture! You form part of a group of students coming from across the continental U.S., Puerto Rico, the Caribbean, Latin America, Europe and Asia. Our goal now, is to help you develop academically and professionally, during your years at the U-SoA, and after graduating.
Undergraduate Architecture Transfer students are individually evaluated as all students transfer a different set of previously enrolled coursework. Upon completion of the portfolio and transcript evaluation, the Office of Academic Services contacts each admitted transfer student to go over the design placement and coursework accepted. Note that applicants that do not submit an architecture portfolio will be automatically placed in Design I: ARC 101. Students that wish to be placed in an advanced studio level must submit a portfolio with the work completed in the previously enrolled design studios. The architecture admission committee will evaluate the portfolio and determine the design level of the student.
Below you may find guidelines for incoming transfer students.
