Applications for incoming first year students are processed and reviewed by the Office of Undergraduate Admission. The Common Application must be received no later than November 1 (Early Decision I/Early Action) or January 6 (Early Decision II/Regular Decision). Portfolios and supplemental materials (transcripts, letters of recommendation, and external exam scores if applicable) must be received by the final credentials deadline for each admission plan.
No applications or materials will be accepted after this time. For more information, contact the Office of Undergraduate Admission or the U-SoA Academic Services Office at 305-284-3731.
Enrollment in the School of Architecture is selective and limited by space and other resources; early application is encouraged.
Admission to the University of Miami is very competitive. Applicants are considered based on the strength of their high school curriculum, grades earned, standardized test scores (if applicable), letters of recommendation, essay, extracurricular activities, and any awards/achievements. For more information visit the main Undergraduate Admission website.
Although not a requirement, a competitive applicant aligns with the first-year Class Profile.
It is recommended, but not required, that all School of Architecture applicants submit a portfolio. First-Year Applicants who do not submit ACT/SAT test scores are required to submit a portfolio.
