Public Awards for U (Cycle 2)
The OVPRS is providing a one-time relief funding opportunity as part of the Project Forward initiative, to  support faculty in making their research accessible to a broader audience by funding publications. Since  funding is limited, only publications with an impact factor of at least 4 will be funded this cycle.  
Application Deadline: February 10, 2025, 5:00 pm

2025-2026 University of Miami Fellowship in Arts & Humanities
The UM Fellowship in the Arts & Humanities was established to support faculty in the Arts and Humanities, with the goal of elevating both individual faculty careers and UM’s scholarly reputation. The UM Fellowship in the Arts & Humanities is intended to provide support for the startup of new projects as well as for the advancement of existing projects.

Urban Studies: The Urbanization of Conflict and Conflict Urbanization”
Focus: Armed conflict, urbanization of conflict, and conflict-driven urbanization.
The Urbanisation of Conflict and Conflict Urbanisation aims to develop new theoretical and empirically grounded insights into how conflict is being shaped by the urban and, in turn, how the urban is being transformed by war.

National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Fellowships 
The purpose of this program is to support individual scholars pursuing projects that embody exceptional humanistic research, rigorous analysis, and clear writing. Fellowships provide recipients with time to conduct research or produce books, monographs, peer-reviewed articles, e-books, digital materials, translations with annotations or a critical apparatus, or critical editions resulting from previous research.

City/Cité Summer Academy in Architecture and Urban Studies
An immersive six-week program in Paris for students in architecture and urban planning. This program, initiated in 2023 by Villa Albertine, the French Institute for culture and education  generously funded by Saint-Gobain, offers a unique opportunity for students to engage with the French architectural and urban landscape while gaining hands-on professional experience.

The purpose of this program is to support education research projects that will contribute to the improvement of education.

Teiger Foundation Annual Grant
The purpose of this program is to support US based, curator-led initiatives in contemporary visual art. This program supports group exhibitions, single-artist surveys, participatory and community-engaged art projects, digital exhibitions, live and virtual performance in the context of the visual arts, and as-yet-unknown curatorial forms involving contemporary visual art and artists.

The School for Advanced Research (SAR) Native American Artist Fellowships

23rd Annual South Florida Tri-University Conference | Hemispheric Dialogues: Advancing Research in the Americas
Participants are encouraged to submit abstracts for papers or posters that engage with issues of interest to the Americas, including the Caribbean, and their diasporas. Projects on a local level will receive the same consideration as those on an international, or continental scale.

The Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Meeting of the Minds (MOM) | ACC institution
The ACC Meeting of the Minds is an annual conference that celebrates undergraduate research and provides an opportunity to share innovative work. Each year, five outstanding undergraduate researchers (accompanied by a faculty/staff member) from each ACC university gather at a host university to present their research, learn from peers, and network among conference attendees. The Global Disaster Preparedness Center offers grants for research projects focused on urban climate resilience in low- and middle-income countries. The research should contribute to policy, planning, and community action.

Open Access Funding | UM Libraries 
This guide provides information on open access publishing support provided by the University of Miami Libraries. The Libraries have established publishing agreements (some are pilot programs) which provide researchers with qualifying articles the possibility of APC funding.

2024 The Robert L. Wesley | SOM Foundation
The Robert L. Wesley Award is open to BIPOC students enrolled in an accredited architecture, landscape architecture, interior architecture, urban design, or engineering undergraduate program in the United States.
