March 24, 2011
Lecturer(s): Michael Graves

In 1960, Michael Graves was awarded the American Academy in Rome’s prestigious Prix de Rome. Having just completed his graduate studies in architecture, he embarked on a Grand Tour that led to a lifelong fascination with the landscape, the culture, and the history of Italy, which have greatly influenced his approach to architecture, design, art, and the redesign of The Warehouse, Graves’ personal residence in Princeton, New Jersey. In A Grand Tour, Graves discusses how this time in Rome has left an indelible mark on his life and work.
