The Drawing Studio
In 2007, the School added to its facilities the Drawing Studio, a space devoted to the practice of drawing — a fundamental skill for architects.
A collection of plaster casts of historical sculptures and building fragments created from the 12th to the 16th centuries in Europe and Egypt provide subject matter for drawing classes at all levels of the program. The casts were a gift to the School by the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. They were cleaned and restored by faculty and students, who also researched the history of the original sculptures. A book about the casts is in preparation for publication in 2008.

Professor Rocco Ceo leads group and individual instruction on the elements of good drawing, a fundamental skill for all architects.
