Programs
The School of Architecture offers a variety of programs to prepare its students for the profession of architecture. Included in this group is the Bachelor of Architecture degree, a five-year accredited professional program, which fulfills the educational requirements for professional registration and offers specialized architectural study through upper-level studios and architecture electives, as well as opportunities for the study of liberal arts.
The B.S.A.E/M.Arch. program is a six-year program which leads to both a B.S. degree in Architectural Engineering and the professional M.Arch. degree in Architecture. The School offers both a professional and a post-professional Master of Architecture degree. The Master of Architecture professional degree is designed for college graduates desiring a first professional degree in architecture and consists of a 3-year Track or an Advanced Standing Track. The post-professional Master of Architecture degree is available to students wishing to develop a specialization in architectural theory and practice. Distinct areas of study are in Urban Design or in Research.
In addition, the Travel Study program offers a variety of study abroad options which range in duration from one week to one semester. These trips are credit-earning courses fulfilling required and elective components of the curriculum. The Rome program takes place over a full semester and is available in fall and spring semesters.
The School of Architecture prepares high school students for entry into the profession through two different high school programs. Explorations in Architecture and Design program is a three-week intensive summer program in which the students live on campus. The Summer Studies in Architecture program is a three-week daily program which exposes the students to architecture, landscape architecture and urban design.
