Professional Experience:
Jaime Correa and Associates (2003-Present) in Miami. Co-founder of several companies including: Dover Correa Kohl Cockshutt Valle aka: Dover Kohl and Partners, Correa Valle Valle, The Office for Urban Counterprojects, and the Atelier for Architecture and Urbanism. Collaborations with: Duany Plater-Zyberk and Company, Moule and Polyzoides, Leon Krier, OBM International, Seth Harry and Associates, Juan Pablo Rosales, and various other national and international firms. Professor Correa maintains an independent design consulting practice with over 25 years of experience; as a seasoned New Urbanism Advocate, his work focuses on traditional architecture and urban design.

Winner of several Congress for the New Urbanism Charter Awards including professional and academic work in 2009 and, 2010. Main Speaker at the Albany Roundtable on Design. Academic Editorial Reviewer of Cuadernos de Arquitectura y Urbanismo, in Mexico. Recipient of the English Speaking Union Scholarship Award. Community Service
Professor Correa provides pro-bono services to NGO’s, municipalities, and institutions. He has been a design leader for over 150 charrettes. His work with the Knight Program in Community Building and the Center for Urban and Community Design has been published and implemented with great success. He holds sponsored urban design studios for communities which cannot afford design services. He has participated as a Team Leader in the 2010 Haiti Charrette and in the Gulfcoast Reconstruction Charrette sponsored by the Congress for the New Urbanism. He has been a Chairman of the Board of Architecture for Gables Estates and Chairman of Empowered Youth, in Coral Gables, and a founding member of the Design Review Committee in the City of D’Iberville, Mississippi. He volunteers at Habitat for Humanity and at the “Feed the Homeless Program” with Unity on the Bay; he has served as a Spanish Scholar and Guest Editor at the Yoga Research Foundation, in Miami.
