Four Visiting Architects Add New Perspectives During Fall 2011 Semester
September 30th, 2011 — Four Visiting Critics have joined the faculty this fall:
— Sara Elizabeth Caples, AIA – Principal, Caples Jefferson Architects, New York, New York; AIA National Honor Award for Architecture; City of New York Minority Women Business Enterprises (MWBE) award of the Year; Award for Excellence in Design from the Art Commission of the City of New York
— Rene Gonzalez, AIA – Principal, Rene Gonzalez Architect, Inc., Miami, Florida; recipient of two National AIA Design Awards; published in over 150 national and international publications; honored by Conde Nast’s House & Garden as one of 50 designers internationally who represent the future of design
— Alexander Gorlin, FAIA – Principal, Alexander Gorlin Architects, New York, New York; Master of Architecture from Yale University; Member of National Council of Architectural Registration Boards; The Cooper Union President’s Council; author of Tomorrow’s Houses: New England Modernism (Rizzoli, 2011)
— Sebastian Velez, LEED AP – Senior Design Director, Oppenheim Architecture + Design, Miami, Florida, responsible for Concept and Schematic Design for all projects in the firm worldwide BArch, University of Miami, MArch, Harvard University Graduate School of Design
