Faculty Member Wins NCARB Grant
February 2nd, 2012 — Part-time faculty member Joachim Perez won a 2011 NCARB (National Council of Architectural Registration Boards) grant for $10,500 for his proposal “Writing in Architecture as a Professional Endeavour.” The award was presented to the School of Architecture to institute a project to teach architecture students the importance of communicating effectively with the written word. In collaboration with editors of Design Book, a magazine founded and edited by Damir Sinovcic, a course will be initiated in the fall with a focus on downtown Miami.
