Alumni Stimulus Plan

August 31st, 2009 — In response to the current economic recession which has especially affected the architectural profession, Dean Elizabeth Platter-Zyberk and graduate advisor, Jude Alexander have developed an Alumni Stimulus Plan with the object of supporting SOA alumni as they search for employment, enter competitions or participate in resume-enhancing projects. The plan has two inter-related aspects.

Dedicated Alumni Studio: A studio has been set aside for the exclusive use of SOA alumni to meet and work on projects and competitions. Administered by Steve Fett, the studio will bring faculty and alumni together to collaborate on projects that, even if unpaid, will offer experience, IDP credits and professional prestige.

Dedicated Alumni Website: The School has created a website for the exclusive use of SOA alumni in which job offers, employment experience, news about competitions and projects can be exchanged and developed – irrespective of where the alumni are located. The site is administered by Joachim Perez and John Carino who will send a formal invites with instructions on joining the site.

For more detailed information about the studio and the website, please contact Jude Alexander at 305-284-3060 or email who is managing both projects and is keen to involve as many alumni as possible.
