January 23 – February 29 New Palladians, an exhibition on one of the world’s most influential architects Andrea Palladio (1508-1580) and his influence on the architecture of today, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday in the Jorge M. Perez Architecture Center Irvin Korach Gallery. In conjunction with the exhibit, a lecture “New Traditional Architecture & Urbanism and the 21st Century” will be presented on Wednesday, February 8 by Professor Lucien Steil of the University of Notre Dame; followed by a tour of the New Palladians exhibition and a reception. February 6 The Pruitt-Igoe Myth, a documentary film about the transformation of the American city in the decades after World War II through the lens of the infamous Pruitt-Igoe housing development in St Louis and its residents, who were among the hardest hit by the national urban renewal program of the 1950s and 1960s.
